Bore Agricultural Research center established in 2001 E.C under Oromia Agricultural Research Institute

Location

It is located in southern Oromia region of Guji zone, Bore district, which is situated at about 387km from Finfinne and 85 km from Adola to the North and the South direction respectively with an average altitude of 600-2700 m.a.s.l. Having a wide range of climatic variables including rainfall ranging from 1000-1500mm and temperature 10-22⁰c.

The specific location of the center is: Altitude: 2750 M.A.S.L.Latitude : 06°21ˈ6812ʺ Longitude : 038°36ˈ9374ʺ

Mandate areas: Guji, West Guji and East Borana

Agro ecological zones: Highland, midland and lowlands
