Fadis Agricultural Research Center
The Fadis Agricultural Research Center is situated in the town of Harar, 525 kilometers east of Addis Ababa. The center has two research stations Bokko and Erer. Fadis research station is situated in Fadis district and located at altitude of 1650 masl. The Fadis district receives 820 mm of rainfall annually, with minimum and maximum temperatures of 150 and 300 degrees Celsius, respectively.Erer is located in the Babile district's Erer Valley. The altitude ranges between 1300 and 1350 masl. The minimum and maximum temperatures of the area vary between 29-380C.
Mechara Agricultural Research Center
Mechara Agricultural Research Center is one of seventeen research centers and is western Hararghe. It is located in the Daro Labu district, 434 kilometers east of Addis Ababa/Finfinne, and was founded in 1997 on 45 hectares of land. On a gravel road that links to the Arsi and Bale zones, it is located 115 kilometers south of Ciro. It is located at 40019.114 North Latitudinal and 08035.589 East Longitudinal. It has an average annual temperature of 160 degrees Celsius, 963 millimeters of rainfall, and an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level.
Fitche Agricultural Research Center
The Fitche Agricultural Research Center is mandated to conduct research on the many crops in the North Shewa Zone. It is located in Fiche town, 110 km north of Addis Ababa/Finfinne.
Haro Sabu Agricultural Research Center
The Haro Sabu Agricultural Research Center is located 550 kilometers from Finfinne in the Kellem Wollega Zone. The center is 1,300–2000 meters above sea level; the temperature ranges from 23–340 degrees Celsius, and the average annual precipitation is between 1000 and 1300 millimeters. It is located at longitude 35o13'18'' E and latitude 8o52'51" N. With average minimum and maximum temperatures of 14 and 30oC, respectively, it has a warm, humid environment. The region experiences 1000 mm of rain on average per year, with a unimodal distribution pattern. April through October is when the rainy season occurs.
Bedelle Agricultural Research Center
The Bedelle Agricultural Research Center is found in Bedelle town of Buno Bedelle Zone in South West Oromia.
Bore Agricultural Research Center
The location of Bore is roughly 385 kilometers south of Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, and it is located between the latitudes of 11°32' and 12°03' N and the longitudes of 37°31' and 38°43' E.This area is situated between 1600 and 2900 masl. The unimodal rainfall pattern, which spans from February to October, has an annual mean rainfall of more than 1227 mm. The monthly minimum temperature ranges from 6.8˚C to 9˚C. The monthly maximum temperature ranges from 16.8˚C to 21.3˚C. The center is mandated to serve the highland and lowland agro-ecologies of Guji Zone.
Yabello Pastoral and Dry Land Agricultural Research Center
The Yabello Pastoral and Dryland Agriculture Research Center (YPDARC) is located on the main road leading to Moyale, approximately 567 kilometers south of Addis Ababa. The average annual rainfall ranges from 350 and 900 mm. The center is located at an altitude of 1631 masl at latitude 02°88’006"N and longitude 038°14’761"E. The average annual minimum and maximum rainfall is 400 and 700 mm, respectively. The average minimum and maximum temperatures are 14.5 and 26.3 °C, respectively.
